I created this little guy to practice using Maya and photogrammetry in a project. It was originally only intended as a still-image render, but it got more complex when I decided to make it into a short animation!
The robot was modelled in Maya and textured with Substance painter, and I built up the environment using photoscan assets I made using Polycam and Meshroom.
The hardest part of this project was probably the animation — this was only my second animation project, so I spent a long time fine-tuning everything and trying to figure out what would look most natural.
